Who can attend:
Emerging Equestrians is for children ages 9 to 12 who have a diagnosis of a disability or disorder affecting their overall mental, physical or emotional health.

Schedule a parent phone chat
Complete a medical release (Provided by Justin’s Place)
Schedule and complete a first free intake session

Lessons are typically once per week on the same day and time. Seasons of lessons run 5-10 weeks at at time.

Lessons cost is $45 per 60 minute lesson.

Each Emerging Equestrians lesson of 2-3 participants is supervised and taught by a trained therapeutic riding instructor. The lesson is also supported volunteers as needed.

As a parent/guardian, you will always know how your child spent their time at Justin’s Place. We pre-plan each week so that your child has a sense of control and predictability. After each session, you will receive an email with a report on how the session went.

What does a session include?
Emerging Equestrians offers participants the opportunity to groom, tack and ride their horse with greater independence. Riders participate in groups of 2-3 under a trained instructor with the support of a volunteer as needed. Each week, participants will learn equine knowledge and riding skills.
