Part Time Farm Hand

Description

The farm hand is responsible to carry out maintenance of our buildings, facilities and arenas. Duties include watering and dragging the arenas, trash and manure management, supporting overall farm operations, assisting the equine manager with animal care, preparing the facility and setting up for events and other duties as assigned. This is a newer position, so we are still figuring out and flexing weekly hours as needed. The current expectation is to work 15-30 hours weekly and one weekend per month.

Part Time Instructor

Minimum Requirements

  • PATH Intl. CTRI (Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor) in good standing or willingness to pursue on your own time and budget

Justin’s Place is seeking a part-time instructor to join our new and growing 501(c)3 non-profit team! We are looking to add 6-25 additional lesson hours per week, including some weekend hours. The ideal candidate would be a CTRI with fluent horsemanship skills, experience with children, and an excellent eye for safety. We hope for someone who is open to learning on the job and taking great consideration to make each child’s experience as extraordinary as they are.

Part Time Volunteer Coordinator

Updated 7/1/25 This position is temporarily filled with a remote support staff. We would like to fill this position with someone who can support programming on the premise and be very involved with recruiting and supporting volunteers.

Description

The volunteer coordinator is an integral part of the team! They assist in recruiting, training and guiding volunteers at Justin’s Place farm. This position is part-time at 10-20 hours per week. During lesson seasons, 1-2 evenings per week are required and regular weekends for recruiting events year round. They are responsible to collect, organize and maintain all volunteer paperwork and records. An ideal candidate is great at engaging people, self-motivated to create and meet goals and wants to see each individual volunteer contribute according to their strengths.

Description

Our horse leaders catch, groom, tack and care for our horses before and after lessons. They lead the horse during lessons, help in advocating for the horse’s needs and communication and are an active member of the therapeutic team.
